Privacy Policy

The Capsule ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is an AI wardrobe stylist. You photograph the clothing you own, our AI identifies each piece, and the App builds outfits from your real wardrobe. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

Account information: the email address you use to sign in, managed through our authentication provider.

Profile information: an optional display name, the gender you select so we can style for you, your language preference, and an optional profile photo.

Wardrobe photos: the photos you take or upload of your clothing, stored privately in your own per-user folder.

Approximate location: only when you allow it, an approximate (city-level) location used to fetch local weather for outfit suggestions. We do not collect precise GPS location.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

To provide the core service: identify your clothing, generate outfits, save your looks, and plan trips, events, and weeks.

To localize suggestions to the current weather where you are.

To create and secure your account and sync your preferences across your devices.

To identify and present your clothing, photos you add are sent to our AI providers for processing: OpenAI (for visual classification of each item) and Google (to clean up the item image into a product-style photo).

Photos are processed only to provide the App’s features. They are never used to serve you advertising. Our providers process this content on our behalf under their respective terms, and we do not sell your photos or personal information.

If you grant location access, your approximate location is sent to third-party weather and geocoding services (Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud, and geojs.io) to retrieve current conditions. Your location is used in the moment to fetch weather; it is not stored as part of your profile or used to track you.

You can deny location access and choose the weather manually instead.

We rely on the following service providers (subprocessors) to operate the App: Supabase (authentication, database, and photo storage); OpenAI and Google (the AI processing described above); Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud, and geojs.io (weather and geocoding); and SerpAPI (product lookups for shopping suggestions).

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.

When you ask to upgrade a look or complete your wardrobe, the App may show shopping suggestions that include affiliate links. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which items we suggest.

Your wardrobe items, outfits, and plans are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your account permanently removes your wardrobe photos, looks, plans, and account data.

You can access, correct, or delete your information at any time from within the App. To delete everything, go to Settings → Account & security → Delete account. This permanently removes your data and cannot be undone.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

We protect your data with encryption in transit, per-user access controls so only you can see your wardrobe, and server-side handling of all AI provider keys (they are never exposed in the app).

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
